Working Principle of Raymond Mill
The working principle of Raymond Mill is quite fascinating. It relies on the grinding force between the rollers and the grinding ring to achieve the desired fineness of materials. When the mill starts running, the main motor drives the rotating shaft through a belt pulley, which causes all the rollers to rotate around their own axis.
As they rotate, large materials are fed into the hopper and then fall onto the grinding ring for grinding. The centrifugal force produced by rotation pushes these materials towards the edge of the grinding ring, where they are crushed and ground into fine powder.
Meanwhile, hot air is blown into the ball mill from below to dry and lift up those powdered materials. This helps in achieving efficient separation of fine particles from coarse ones. The purified air leaves through pipes at different outlets while fine powders fall down to be re-ground until reaching desired fineness.
