How does Raymond Mill work?

Raymond Mill is a commonly used grinding equipment, widely used in various industries such as mining, cement, chemical industry, metallurgy, etc. It can grind various materials with Mohs hardness less than 9.3 and humidity less than 6%, and has high efficiency and low energy consumption.

So how does Raymond Mill work? The working principle of Raymond Mill is quite simple. The material is crushed by the jaw crusher or hammer crusher to the required size. Then it is transported to the storage hopper by the elevator, and evenly sent to the main mill room for grinding through the vibrating feeder.

The grinding roller swings outward due to centrifugal force under the action of the rotating main shaft. The shovel blade on the roller scoops up materials and sends them between grinding rollers and rings for pulverization. After being ground into powder, materials are brought into analyzer machine for classification.

The airflow system of Raymond Mill plays a crucial role in its operation. The air flow circulation takes place under negative pressure inside this machine which ensures that there’s no dust escaping during its operation.

Raymond Mill works by crushing materials through jaw crusher or hammer crusher first before being sent to storage hopper. Then they are evenly fed into main mill room through vibrating feeder where grinding rollers crush them into fine powder. An airflow system helps classify these powders accurately.
