The first step in the beneficiation process is to crushed the ore into smaller pieces. The crushed ore will then be transported to a seperation plant where it will be seperated into two types: concentrate and tailings. The concentrate will contain all the valuable minerals and metals, while the tailings will be discarded.

The next step is concentration, where the minerals are separated from each other based on density. The heavier minerals will sink to the bottom, while the lighter ones will float to the top. After concentration, the nickel sulfide minerals need to be upgraded by flotation machines.
During flotation, collectors are added which attach themselves to the sulfide mineral particles and make them hydrophobic (water repelling). This allows them to be brought up by air bubbles during flotation. The final step in beneficiation is drying and roasting, where the concentrate is dried and then roasted at high temperatures to remove any remaining impurities.
