Step One: Remove the Bearing Cap
The first step in disassembling the bearing of a large jaw crusher is to remove the bearing cap. This can be done by using a hydraulic wrench or other appropriate tool.
Before starting this process, it’s important to ensure that all safety precautions have been taken. Make sure the power supply to the crusher has been disconnected and that any residual pressure has been released.

Once you’re ready to begin, locate the bearing cap on top of the jaw crusher and use your tool to loosen and remove any bolts holding it in place. Be careful not to damage any surrounding components while doing so.
After removing all bolts, carefully lift off the bearing cap, taking care not to disturb or damage any wiring or hoses connected to it. Inspect both sides of the cap for signs of wear or damage before setting it aside for later cleaning and inspection.
With Step One complete, you can move on with confidence knowing that you’ve safely removed an essential component from your large jaw crusher without causing harm or damage.
