How is light calcium carbonate made?
Light calcium carbonate is primarily composed of calcium carbonate, a mineral that occurs naturally in the earth’s crust. It is extracted from limestone and marble deposits through a process known as quarrying. The first step involves blasting or drilling to loosen large blocks of rock from the ground.
The extracted rocks are then transported to crushing plants where they undergo a series of crushing and grinding processes to reduce them into smaller sizes. After this, the crushed rocks are further processed using specialized equipment such as ultrafine mills.
How is light calcium carbonate made?
