zinc ore beneficiation production line Introduction
The new energy-saving zinc oxide beneficiation production line is a technology developed by our factory to save energy and reduce consumption. The traditional process of zinc oxide beneficiation adopts the principle of “crushing and grinding-flotation-drying”, while the new energy-saving beneficiation process adopts the principle of “crushing and grinding-flotation”. By this way, it not only saves energy, but also reduces emissions and improves environmental protection.

Zinc is one of the oldest metals used by humans with a history dating back to at least 7900 BC. Zinc ore is mined in more than 50 countries and most of the world’s zinc production comes from Asia, followed by North America and Europe.

The raw materials for primary zinc production are zinc sulfide concentrates. The first step in processing these concentrates is to convert them to zinc oxide (ZnO), which is done via calcination. The calcined product is then fed to a secondary crusher where it is reduced to smaller particles.
From there, the material can be ground in a ball mill to produce a fine powder. The powder is then fed into a leaching tank where it is mixed with sulfuric acid. This process dissolves the zinc from the ore, leaving behind a solution of zinc sulfate.
The next step is to purify the solution and remove impurities such as iron and aluminum. This is done using electrolysis, which separates the metals based on their electrical properties. The final product of this process is pure molten zinc metal.
